yob - © Michael Quinion -- 26 November 2005 Newsletter: "Yob' is British slang for a rude, noisy, and aggressive young man, whose name is backslang, from "boy."   Yobbery: noun: Rowdy, destructive behavior by the youth.

yobbo tan - A singlet tan which many Aussie blokes get when working in the hot sun whilst wearing a singlet. When you take your singlet off you can see the untanned areas are in shape of a singlet.

yoctominute - Two seconds = one yoctominute. {ED. FYI. You may or may not be aware of it but a yoctosecond is a real unit of time. Seeing it led me to define yucktosecond in the pd. "Until now, the second smallest unit of time named has been a yoctosecond (10-24 second) or one septillionth of a second."}

yodawg - An adjective used to describe a person who uses the slang word "yo." Usually seen driving cars with insanely large, throbbing speakers. May also wear ball-cap turned at a 45-degree angle and hang out in your local mall's food court for several hours at a time.

yodeling to the oldies - Any album featuring rather lame remakes of Top 40 hits or oldies in unconventional musical stylings or arrangements (e.g., Celtic, male voice choirs, Benedictine monks-style). (Allusion is to at least one or two episodes of Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, in which Cindy Vortex plays a selection from a CD entitled "Yodeling to the Oldies" for the sake of insulting Jimmy Neutron.)
